You be the eyes, you be the ears, I'll be your voice.

Bret Brewer

for Town Council 2015

What I Believe:

  • Communication is key. There have been a lot of town plans that impact my district, from new development to transportation. Communicating these plans to the residents most impacted hasn’t always been a top priority for town representatives and I want to change this.

  • No frivolous spending. I don’t like to waste other people’s money, even on my campaign where I've made sure we considered the least expensive options (this website is free, for instance) and haven’t spent for things that aren’t important. We have needs in our community: schools, police and fire, library and roads. I want to ensure these needs are fully funded and that your taxpayer dollars are not being wasted. I’m a CPA with a specialization in valuing businesses, and will be able to provide the town with the insight of budgeting and forecasting while avoiding unnecessary spending.

  • We need new business and thoughtful development. I feel strongly about protecting what is unique about Zionsville. Every candidate will say that they want to protect Zionsville’s uniqueness - but I live on Main Street, I’m an active member of the Village Residents Association, I hear what people say they love about this place and I’m committed to acting on behalf of the residents of my district and to be your voice.

Zionsville Town Council candidates speak out at forum

Brewer would like to use his expertise as the only Indiana CPA qualified to value businesses to help local businesses thrive and grow. He said the improving economy in recent years has put the town in a good position for growth.

(I'd like to clarify that I'm the only Indiana CPA with all of the following business appraisal credentials:  Certified Business Appraiser (CBA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV).

There are plenty of CPAs qualified to value businesses - but not with the same credentials.
